My 6 plus fell in the toilet and now the home button won't work

HHelp my 6 plus fell in the toilet and now the home button is going crazy. I can't even turn the phone off because the home button keeps pressing, internally? I went to verizon but of course they wanted me to buy a new phone, no insurance on the one I have. Help!!!
