iOS7 brought with it software that looks for signed chips in lightning connectors. Is your cable an official apple one? Or is it an off brand? If it's an off brand that could be your issue.
Carrying Skydiver's post a bit further, it's possible that an Apple cable is being incorrectly identified as an off-brand cable. If you do have an Apple cable, you need to contact Apple. Most likely the best way (if convenient) is a visit to a local Apple Store.
