Q: Can't delete file in Active window

Mac Pro 6 Core (late 2013) 32GB memory

Compressor 4.2

Yosemite 10.10.3 (big mistake)

Have a file in "Active" window that can't delete. Clicking on the 'x' doesn't work. Highlighting and pressing delete doesn't work. Cleared history in "Completed" window.

Any suggestions appreciated.

In your home library, and with the application closed, open Application Support/Compressor/History.v4 and move the batch file to the trash.

If the job is running in the active panel and click the X button, the job should disappear and reappear in the Completed panel with cancelled next to it.

I also had this problem and was very grateful for Russ's advice (bless you Russ)

But if, like me, you were initially stuck because you couldn't locate your Home Library, the reason you can't do so is because it's hidden. To make it appear click the desktop to make sure you're in the Finder then hold down the option key and choose Go > Library
