Computer turns off during start up? Please help!
My computer turns off during start up. I have tried the command R, it won't work. Please help?
iMac (27-inch Late 2009)
To what stage do you get? Do you see the apple logo, do you hear a boot chime?

It chimes, the apple sign comes up, the bar starts loading, but only gets 1/4 of the way & then turns off.

Most of the time, the above steps will bring an iMac back to life. An application or startup item has a hard time booting, and these steps will joggle your machine back to life. Try this...and post back with your results!
