Why foto library is larger on Mac than in iCloud?

Hi,

i've upload on my iCloud account the whole foto library (about 200 gb).

I'm working on that library delete unwanted photo.

I've deleted quite 40 gb of photo.

Why on iCloud the size is correctly updated to 160 gb while on Mac it's still 200 ?

I've deleted permanently the 40 gb of unwanted photo so that they're not shown anymore in deleted photo.

I'm a bit confused ...
