Mac Pro 8 Core 2008 Firewire problem

Hi,

I used to connect one Pcie to the internal power which is found in the box beyond the power supply. It was not possible to get the power supply out because it stucked so I kept it like that and I found one USB 3 Pcie card without need for one internal power cable. Since then after closing my Mac Pro i found out that the firewire is not recognized and i can not find my Audiogear. Another thing is that the cooler is always at the top of performance. It is loud and I do not know how to fix it right now.

Kindly Regards

Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Hi,

reset FW bus, same goes for USB reset...

Reset the Firewire bus

If your Firewire or USB isn't recognizing any device. A solution which has worked for some whose hard drive became invisible in 10.4 was simply to follow these four steps to reset the Firewire/USB bus:

1. Shut the machine down.

2. UNPLUG the power lead to the computer and any firewire/USB drive or devices.

3. leave it for 10 minutes.

4. Connect back up and reboot.
