I have copied all my pictures to a DVD and would like to remove all of them from my IPhone but some of the photos
do not display the TRASH CAN and I have no idea how to delete them from my phone.

photos without a trash can may be synced from your computer, plug your phone into iTunes then select the phone then the photos tab on the left and uncheck sync photos then hit apply on the bottom right
If you have a Mac, connect the phone to the computer and open Image Capture. Click on the phone and somewhere in one of the menus is a download option. In one of the bottom corners of image capture, there should be an option to delete from phone.
It's been a few years since I've done that but it's pretty basic.
Not sure what to do if you have a Windows computer.
