How can I remove hpdot4

I have a HP C4780 printer i got with my mac. Frequently a file will pop up that will slow my mac to a crawl. When i look in the activity monitor its called H4DOT. Once i make it force quit my mac runs fine, until this stupid thing randomly pops up again.

How do i get rid of it, even if it means i uninstall the HP printer (which I've tried)??
