Can I bring in MBP for repair without the hard drive?

I going to take my 2011 MBP to Apple to have it fixed under the extended warranty program (https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/).

Can I bring it in without the hard drive (for privacy's sake)?

Possibily, it will depend on the Apple Store you're going to go to. I'd call first and ask them. This was common at the Chicago store but can't speak for any other.
