my sister and i share a apple ID

my sister and i share a apple ID, but i changed the apple ID address and password. so does that mean she cant use the ID anymore unless she signs in again with the new password?

she uses my apple ID for imessage and i use my phone number...so if she doesn't know the new password does that mean her imessage wont work?

or will her iphone automatically sync with the new information?
