Q: Mac Mini late 2014 video blackouts after 10.10.3

After updating OS X to 10.10.3 my video randomly blacks out for a second, and less frequently flashes a "torn" pixelated image of what's on the screen. Happens about once a hour. It's not related to what program is being run. Monitor is a brand new Samsung 32" S32D850, and it doesn't happen when a Windows 7 computer is hooked up to the monitor - only the Mac Mini.

Saw similar problems posted for older Mac Minis.

This is likely a video driver problem. I'm using standard Apple drivers, Samsung doesn't offer any for OS X.

Apple you working of this?

Thank you for taking the time to reply - these suggestions did not resolve the problem and I continue to experience random display blackouts. Disappointing for a new computer that a basic function is not working properly.
