Upgraded from 10.6.8 to 10.10.3. Now Safari won't work

After upgrading, I can't print and Safari is Very slow, usually freezing. Firefox works well.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), just upgraded from 10.6.8 t0 10.10.

What machine are you running? You really shouldn't run a 10.6.8 machine on 10.10; the processor can't handle it.

1. From the Safari menu bar, select

Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions

Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

2. Select

Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...

and confirm. Test.
