searching PDF within Mail app

In the Mail app, I can download a PDF (that's attached to an email) to view within the app. How can I search text in the PDF? Thanks.

When you tap & open the pdf within the mail app, you are getting a Quick View of the document. In order to search the PDF, you can either choose the square with the arrow pointing up (top right when opened within Mail) & choose another app such as iBooks to open the pdf. From there you can search the text.

To skip the quick view entirely, wait until the PDF has downloaded, hold your finger down on the icon for 2 seconds until the menu appears showing the available apps on your iPad to open it with. Choose one & then search the text from within that app.
