iphone 4s - why is there a weblike overlay slowly taking over my screen?

It showed up a couple days ago in the upper left corner of my screen and appears to be growing and taking over the screen. Looks like a spider web.

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.1.1

It's probably a crack. Take it to the Apple Store Genius Bar (make an appointment first) to verify.

Thanks.

It's on the actual digital screen, not the glass that covers the phone's screen (although my phone is cracked in a completely different place than this weblike invasion).

I've made an appointment with the Genuis Bar. We'll see what they say.
