Trackpad does not go into discovery mode

When the power button on the trackpad is pressed, the LED indicator will blink once for approx 1-2 seconds.

Even when the power button is pressed and held down after the blink it will not go into discovery mode.

My wireless keyboard is connected and works perfectly.

I also have a PC usb keyboard and mouse so I can work in windows mode through Bootcamp.

Trackpad is not install on any other computer.

This computer runs on Yosemite 10.10 (I'm not sure if updating this would fix anything though.)

I deleted the trackpad from the bluetooth settings and that did nothing.
