can't upload edited photos

i use the photo app on my iPhone 5s to edit photos (resize, auto enhance) and when I go to upload the picture to tumblr or Instagram, it doesnt show up and it is unable to be uploaded.

if I revert the changes, it can be uploaded

the photo always appears in my camera roll

why is this
