Please can I delete my Pages for iOS App?

Pages App for my iPhone 6 has been downloading to my phone for days!

It does not show in iTunes under Apps for phone section.

All I have on phone is a black square with a very faint pencil showing from top right to bottom left.

Pressing the cross to delete gets the message Deleting"" will also delete all of its data.

So I press delete and nothing happens. The black icon is still wobbling.
