My iPad mini 2 power cord won't easily remove from device. Is there a trick? I don't want to force it

Juse make sure you grip the end piece of the cable (hard piece)closest to the dock on both top & bottom & pull straight out. Don't pull from the cable wire.

Just got my iPad mini 2 and don't know the trick to unplug the power cord from the device. See where tips have broken off in other people's iPads so don't want to force it!
