!iphoto events and photos

I do apologise if this has been posted I have searched but I cant seem to find anything?

In my trash folder (iPhoto) there are 5012 photos in which i selected them all and clicked on PUT BACK. I have yet to empty the trash folder.

But most of these pics have still yet to appear in Library?

In my events it reads from the left hand side 11, but there are actually 32 events?

And the number count reads for each box say a certain amount but when i click on that actual box there are no pics in them. HELP!!
