Q: cannot back up because backup session failed

Hi!

My current phone is iPhone 5s, and I was trying to backup my iPhone on my mac. It is currently at iOS 8.3

My latest backup file is from last year, meaning I couldn't backup from since. Every time I try to back up it says "backup session has failed" or "iPhone has been set up".

I've tried the solutions from Get help making a backup in iTunes - Apple Support, however, after trying everything it still doesn't work.

This is frustrating Please help

    Hi Since iso 7 when your iPhone / iPad  is put on charge it should Automatically Backup to iCloud over your WiFi  you don't need to use your PC I haven't used my PC for over 2 years for iPhone / iPad Go to settings iCloud check last backup you may find it was backed up at last charge.
