Apple Watch Sport screen scratched?

So after 15 days of ownership, I noticed at work yesterday 5-6 very light scratches that are almost imperceptible except in certain light and angles (only 1 can be seen with iPhone 6 camera ;-). I found this thread and thanks to those posting!!! It helped me call today to Apple support over the phone. I spoke to a ******** who was awesome and helped me in having a new watch shipped to my house with only a small tax fee; I only have to ship the old one back. I was technically outside the 14 day return window today (16 days total) but he helped me out nonetheless.

Lesson 1: BUY THE APPLE PROTECTION PLAN!!! This watch is not cheap and you need that protection! If you can afford over $300 for a watch, you can afford an additional $69

Lesson 2: BUY A PROTECTOR/CASE; I bought a rugged Spigen case yesterday on Ebay for <$20 and should have it within a few days.

Lesson 3: NEVER TAKE APPLE PRODUCTS FOR GRANTED!!! It's amazing that this got damaged so easily and I'm not sure how. It has brushed the sides of my fridge, microwave, sink edges and that's about it. I'm in the Northeast and wearing long-sleeved shirts/jackets right now and so the element of damage/trauma right now is very minimal...at $399 a pop this watch should be more durable and lasting and clearly has its problems/weaknesses!

I so have the November 15 afternoon bought my Apple Watch sport, and the next day I realize I have a line on the bottom of the screen that crosses all this, as I look after my products apple better than my life, and I was the iShop that would mention the rayon happened because of me. if this is not a warranty or between options gives apple because my belt and also present a considerable wear and will have a month to watch apple.

I scratched Mine...However it took me 6 months before that happened....I got apple care when I bought the watch, because I know with it on my wrist, there was a higher chance of me bumping it or something dumb..Found out today apple care will take care of it. They will repair or replace it this weekend.

i have this same problem however if you look at the watch from certain angles the entire screen is all scratched up

My apple watch sport scratched today, called apple support and they're going to get back to me. Unsure of what they will do, but so upset has haven't even had it for long. I did mention that hundreds of people were saying the exact same thing etc.

Make sure it isn't hair or lint. The same thing appeared on my watch and it was just lint. Use a damp (not soaked, just lightly moist) rag to wipe the screen. Make sure you dry it, and make sure no water seeps into the watch, as this could damage your watch. See if that works. If it is a real scratch, take it to a Genius Bar near you.

My 1 year old niece recently got hold of my watch and smashed it on the floor repeatedly. Lucky the screen didn't break, but there are some scratches and scuffs on the screen. I really want to know how to "remove" or lessen the appearance of these scuffs if possible

It is possible that you have only scratched through the fingerprint-resistant, oil repellent coating. It is normal for this coating to wear away under normal use, but it may have become scratched without damaging the screen beneath.

Whether you have scratched the screen or not, Apple does not recommend using cleaning products or polishing or buffing the watch with abrasives; these will wear away the coating and may also scratch (or further scratch) the screen beneath.

Unfortunately, cosmetic damage - which includes scratches - is not covered under the Limited Warranty (or AppleCare+). Your watch may be eligible for out-of-warranty service. If you make a Genius Bar reservation, Apple can inspect the mark and advise of any available service options and the cost:

Otherwise, a good quality screen protector (thin film-type) may be effective in obscuring or reducing the visibility of the mark, as well as in providing some measure of protection against future damage. Some such screen protectors cover the full screen, including the curved edges.

VERY hard for me to understand how people are managing to scratch the sport screens. Ive had mine for 3 months. Not a single scratch anywhere on the screen or case. Its not easy to scratch this thing.

So is it true? The Apple Watch Sport scratches really easily?

I have a huge scratch on my Apple Watch face. No idea how it happened as I also am very careful with my apple products. My watch is 4 months old. I made an appointment with Apple Genius Bar and they told me it would cost me $199 to fix. I was disappointed that Apple didn't stand behind its product. I can't justify paying $199 to repair a scrat that shouldn't happen with normal wear on any watch.

This is very disappointing because this is problem still exists on Apple Watch Series 2. This is the second day I got it and scratches already starts to appear. Thought this gen. would be better but I guessed not. Taking it to store and see what they have since this is the second day I got it.

Same thing happen to me like why are this apple watches so delicate?? I got my Apple Watch yesterday and it already has a scratch
