Hi, I'm using latest version of Aperture and Yosemite. I'd like to try the new photos app but still be able to use Aperture. Can I duplicate the library and just use the copy to do so? Or is there another way that I'm not aware of?

What I have done is simply copied the Aperture file from the Finder ; it was easy as I reference all my pictures. In order to not get confused, I renamed it and actually placed it on another drive.
It's not really necessary as opening Photos doesn't remove your Aperture library. Photos will use your Aperture library to create a Photos library.
Can I duplicate my Aperture library so I can use one to import into new Photos app?
