Hi,
I currently have 9.7gb of "other" on my iphone 6 64Gb. I have read many a thread about how to remove and tried deleting aps, erasing all consent and restoring from a back up, clearing cache / search history / email accounts etc. even tried phone clean but that is only showing a few Mb I can get back.
Am I missing a really obvious trick?
Any help appreciated,

If you restore from you backup, the bad stuff will come right back.
You'll want to put your contact/calendar info in iCloud, copy your photos to your computer's hard drive, email notes to yourself and forward important text to your email. Then restore the iPhone via ITunes and set it up as new without reloading your backup.
Thanks for reply azuresky41...... yeah, I think it may come to that but then I loose all my app. data / info such as whats ap groups & game saves.....
the dreaded "other" !
