Q: Does my iMessage on laptop sends via Text message?

My laptop send messages to my friends as Blue, but when I looked at my iPhone the messages i sent to them was on green and says "Sent as text Message" How do I let my iMessage on my Laptop not to send the message using my regular cellular data. If ever they are offline on iMessage the message will not be able to send on my laptop
