Miles don't speak to me, but I can't find a way to change the unit into km in the activity app (watch) or in the apple watch app (phone). Any help?

there is a way!
open setting in IPHONE NRC app!
You can swipe into a distance run in the watch app, then force touch to select units. This changes all the future runs, calories, Open etc.
However having recorded one brief run in miles and the rest in Km, my phone Activity app displays all my runs in miles and I'd like to change this!
And if you go into iPhone Settings/General/Language & Region
The Region will change the default measurement if you choose a metric country (& currency unfortunately) until Apple give us a toggle!
I hope they don't ever provide that option. Living in a non-metric country don't expect metric measurements.
Considering that in the UK we're using a bit of everything, I'd like to have the choice.

Doesn't work for the UK. As someone else said, in practice we use a mish-mash of units. For my sports/fitness stuff I use kg and km - the app seems to be using kg and mi. As said elsewhere, I can enter goals (which I don't use) in mi or km, but my results show in miles.
I Find that interesting. How would having the option to switch between units harm your experience? Not having it causes problem for more people on this planet than not.
