All of a sudden i cannot get messages from my yahoo mail into the apple mail. I checked the log and it says cannot fetch messages. It was working fine it last week without any problems.

What does Connection Doctor say? (Mail>Window>Connection Doctor)
Likely a Yahoo problem. Yahoo mail is problematic
Try resetting the password for that account.
the Connection Doctor shows all green. Resetting Password did not helped.
Can you access that account on another device?
I resolved the problem. It was one bad mail which was the cause of this problem. I just logged on to the Yahoo mail by safari and then copied mail of that particular day on which my mail stopped working to a temp folder. And the Mail started working normally.
