Q: magic mouse cursor will not move

Magic Mouse cursor will not move.  Scroll works. right click works replaced batteries

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

    I'm so sorry but I overlooked your response in the previous post.

     

    I think you there are two options to try.     One;

     

    Reset the SMC (Systems management control)      https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201295 ....

     

    Two: You may have a problem with interference which could be from a TV set, particularly one of the new smart TVs, anything electronic you've either moved into the room or changed its position.   That could include another mouse or trackpad.

    Thanks for your response... I've tried your recommendations and the cursor will still not move... Maybe a new MM is in order...Cheers

    Don't give up.   If you live near an Apple store or an authorised outlet, take in your Magic Mouse and ask them to test it.   Just in case.   The test should be free and they will confirm if all is lost.
