I have a nano and it started talking saying song name artist and that I purchased the song keeps interrupting the song to repeat the title artist etc how do i get it to shut up?

Its probably due to a faulty headset or something is putting pressure in between the volume up and volume down buttons on the headset. Putting pressure there will tell the ipod nano to say what song and artist is playing. If you hold it longer it will go through playlists and let you select a playlist.
Also make sure Voiceover and Speak hints is off by going to settings > general > accessibility > voiceover.
