I just got this brand new at the store on Saturday 4/25. After I set it up I plugged it in to charge. When I came back an hour later it was completely shut down and I had to restart it by holding down the home button and lock button together. Now every time I lock it and leave it for more than 30 minutes I have to restart it that way.

Take it back to the store & exchange it.
That was going to be my next action, but it turns out I needed to update to the latest version of iOS. Now it seems to be OK (I locked it and left it for over 30 min and now I can just thumbprint to open it like normal).
My iPad Air 2 keeps shutting down and forcing me to restart it.
