Apple store is not asking for my ID when downloading an app

Hi,

The apple store is not asking for my ID when I download an app, free or bought. That kind of a problem. If I click the wrong button to check out an app my credit card could get charged. Where is the option to get app store to ask me for my ID again?

I'm not sure if this will work, but on your computer:

Open App Store
From the top menu: Store > View My Account ( ) ...
Scroll down to "Reset all warnings for buying and downloading" and click the Reset button

You'd probably have to try buying something to really know if it works. I'm not sure where to look for iOS.
