iTunes Match keeps ******** down with error

I have subscribed to iTunes Match so that I can listen to my preferred music while at work without having to download it onto my iPhone or pulling out the Ipad due to limited desk space. I have put iTunes on the computer at work. I pull up the account everything goes fine. When I go into to turn on iTunes Match after entering my password it waits a few seconds then an error pops up and says the system is shutting down. Or if will go all the way through the access up to the point where you click done then it will give the error and shut down. What is the issue. I have tried everything.
