My ipod 5 doesn't work anymore. HELP

The screen is completely black and I charged it for hours. I connected it to my computer too but it still doesn't work. I recently updated it to IOS 8.3 but I'm not sure if it's because of that. Also I read other people's questions and they say to click on the home button and sleep button on the top for 6 seconds and it should work but my home button is stuck. I really need to get it to work ASAP. (my apple guarantee is expired)

Try the remaining items of:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
