Hello, my lock/sleep/wake button on the top of my phone has not worked since I bought the Iphone 5c a year ago. All the sudden its working and its going crazy, it is locking my screen every 5 seconds. Is there way to disable the button without jail breaking it?

Yes, you can. Warranty (and any recalls) follow the phone, not the original purchaser.

Take it to an Apple store for diagnosis. Some iPhones have defective buttons, and the devices will be replaced (even after the warranty expires) if yours is in the "bad batch." Make an appointment.

haha this is awkward. Im using this phone that has the messed up lock button right now bc my usual phone wont respond to touch, so i cant slide to unlock it. sorry im confusing lol
There is not a way to disable that button.
And if the " diagnostic" shows that the button is stuck because of accidental damage, it will be an out of warranty repair ( I think these are still 199.00$)
