'Sent' mail from iPhone6 not mirroring on my mac mail client using POP

Whenever I send an email in response to a thread received from my PHONE it does not show up on the thread conversation on my computer (mac mail). It is frustrating that it is not filed in sequential order nor does it show in my 'Sent' folder on Mac. I basically have to send myself a copy of the email I sent out and file it with the others once in my inbox.
