Quicken 2015 Install Problems?

I just downloaded Quicken 2015 and opened the disk image file which said to drag the Quicken icon to my application folder. I did that but before I could try to open it my MacBook Air crashed. I couldn't get it to shut down immediately via Force Quit (spinning wheel) but I put it to sleep and waited until morning. It shut down and upon reopening everything seemed O.K. except my backup via Time Machine was interrupted. I'm just wondering if the Quicken app was the problem and if anyone else has had such an issue installing the new version of Quicken. 2013 MacBook Air, 1.3 GHz i5, 4GB DDR3, 125GB SSD, OSX 10.8.5.
