So I have successfully installed windows 8 on my iMac and I am very happy with the results, everything is working perfectly fine except for one thing. I cant seem to get my audio to work. I installed windows 8 using a USB drive and when I booted my Mac I did something to do with EFI and that got the installation to work. After the installing all the provided drivers the only thing not working is the audio, please help!

I have done a lot of research on how to fix this and none seem to work, also I have found out that I think its IMPOSSIBLE to return back to my OSX. Am I screwed?
On an iMac which is older than Late 2013 models, using the EFI method does not work. If you want a detailed explanation, I can provide it, but it is full of jargon and acronyms. The best method is to wipe the current installation after you save data (not applications that you need) and re-install using BC Assistant (only).

Can you boot into OSX Recovery - OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support? First try Command+R when powering up your Mac which will bring up Local Recovery. If that does not work, try Command+Opt+R, which will bring up Internet Recovery.
If im using a windows keyboard how do I open up the internet recovery? and what do I do once I open up the internet recovery?
The Windows key on the keyboard should work as Command key. Once you have Recovery Console up, we can look at your disk partitioning and see what the next steps to recovery would be. Do you have back ups of your OSX and Windows?
I do have a backup of my OSX I believe, but what happens if I dont?
Re-installation of OSX from Local Recovery will bring back your current OSX version, and leave your files untouched, provided the underlying disk partitions are intact. Internet Recovery will install the OS that originally came with the Mac, and then you have to upgrade to the current version via the App Store. What is your current OSX version?
I started with mountain lion but I installed the yosemite
Internet Recovery will install ML, while Local Recovery will install Yosemite, provided Local Recovery is intact.

In Recovery console, if you want to post your current disk partition, in Utilities -> Terminal, post the output of the following commands.
gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0
fdisk /dev/disk0
Okay so I did a internet recovery and it says my bootcamp disk is locked so I can't reinstall OS X Lion, do I need to go back to windows and do something before I try again?
I can try removing the bootcamp partition in Disk Utility and make a new one that can install OS X lion on it, just want to make sure with you before I make another mistake, you seem to be very educated with bootcamp and macs (was reading old threads of my same problem before and saw your name pop up) so thanks for the help!
