"All My Files' Disappeared

When I open Finder and select 'All My Files' nothing appears. No photos or docs or anything. Any ideas on how I can retrieve them?

1. Make sure that those items are enabled in the Finder sidebar.

Finder > Preferences > Sidebar.

User uploaded file

2. If this doesn't help, Re-index Macintosh HD.

Re-index Macintosh HD.

Spotlight reindexing will take a while to finish.

System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy

Note:

If you don’t have Macintosh HD icon on the desktop,

Finder > Preferences > General > Show these items on the desktop:

Enable “Hard disks”.
