Merge Multiple Albums within iTunes

I am trying to Merge Multiple Albums within iTunes. I am uploading the Inspired By... The Bible Experience which I have
on 77 disks total. Each time I upload a disk it creates a new album. Instead of having so many Albums in my iTunes I want to combine it in to two Albums (Old &
New Testament). Can I do that & if so what is the best way to do that?

iTunes will group albums if:

  • all tracks have the same value in the Artist field and the same value in the Album field, or
  • all tracks have the same value in the Album Artist field and the same value in the Album field, or
  • all tracks have the same value in the Album field and have the Album is a compilation ... flag checked

In your case, you should - after inserting each disc but before importing to iTunes:

  • Set the Album field to a common value, which will be the same for all discs
  • Set the Artist field to a common value, which will be the same for all discs or if discs/individual tracks have distinct values for Artist, set the Album Artist field to a common value
  • Set the disc number value to a distinct value for each disc in sequence (1, 2, 3, ...)
