Jun 10, 2015 7:33 AM in response to dbaraffby Rick Florida,I was having the same issue, but I was using the JayBird Bluebuds head set. I went through numerous layers of support with Apple and then had to go to the store. What I found is that it was the head set, I broke down over the weekend and bought a Beats by Dre, and have had no problems with it since.
My jaybird's were a few years old, but worked perfectly with my phone but not the watch. I'm wondering if it has to do with the bandwidth on the head set. Those that are newer have more signal than those older.
Regardless I'm happy it's working !!

Jun 13, 2015 1:04 PM in response to RealJCrew2by Alphakernel,I was able to pair my Motorola S9-HD headphones. I did have to sync music and press on the screen while in the music app to get to the source menu and airplay. It is annoying needing to choose bluetooth rather then auto pairing.

Jun 15, 2015 7:03 AM in response to RealJCrew2by Sir Wa11ace,I've tried the plantronics beatback fit, and while it works, it disconnects from time to time, sometimes after a number of songs, occasionally after about 30 seconds.
This is with songs synced to the Watch. It may be coincidental, but turning off bluetooth on my iphone seemed to improve stability quite a bit.

Jun 16, 2015 11:09 AM in response to swandyby dkaplan18,@swandy, This was pretty much my experience with the Jaybirds too. After getting it to finally pair, I also manage to sync a playlist to the watch. I am hoping to try a phone free workout while listening to some music. Maybe should try turning off bluetooth on the phone before turning back on the headphone. Let us know if you figure this out.

Jun 23, 2015 7:51 AM in response to RealJCrew2by Dale278,The solution that worked for me with Powerbeats2 was to reset the watch with the Power Off cycle. I found this in one of the other threads here.

Jun 23, 2015 5:11 PM in response to RealJCrew2by beachloverlarry,I have a Jabra Stealth and it kept showing that it was searching, but like RealjCrew2 I found that it was actually paired and I could hear my music. So try it even if it doesn't indicate a pairing.

Jul 6, 2015 6:24 PM in response to fadetowhiteby qwertyui123,I have the same headset and the same problems. Have spent most of the last 4 hours on the phone with Apple Care and exchanging emails with folks from BTS. Reset the watch as new, reset headset, repaired, reset Network settings on phone. Audio still cuts out. You are right, this was one of the main reasons I bought the watch. Very bad deal.

Jul 7, 2015 9:33 PM in response to Rick Floridaby Jeffrey Fose,Hi Rick,
This is the same problem I had. There is one more step you have to take in order to change the source of the music from the iphone that your Apple Watch is connected to, over to the Apple Watch itself. To do that go to the Music application. Then you have to do a "force touch" (i.e. press down on the Apple Watch face instead of just tapping it) when you do that it will bring up screen that gives you more options, one of which is "Source" tap on the Source and it will let you choose from the Apple Watch or the iphone. The default for me was the iphone. Once I clicked on Apple watch, the music finally would play to the bluetooth connected speaker from the Apple Watch and would no longer start playing on the iphone instead. The "force touch" was mentioned earlier in this problem thread, but it is easy to skim and miss this key point.

Jul 8, 2015 5:17 AM in response to Jeffrey Foseby Cbw230805,Unfortunately, I have tried that. I have the beats headphones so I'm not sure if that is the issue. But when I change the source to iwatch it skips thru all of the sounds with no music?

Jul 18, 2015 8:50 AM in response to swandyby BrianHarg,This seems to be my exact problem as well. Works great - unless I try to use Map my Run and the headphones (bluebuds X) at the same time. I think the issues started w/ iOS 8.3 update - but not exactly sure. I had the bluetooth setting option open when running to try to see what happens. It looks like the BT connection is turned off momentarily - the few devices I have paired all disappear and it searches again. Sometimes the BlueBuds connect again and sometimes I had to select them to pair. After several (20+) disconnects the phone reboots.
Anyone find a solution yet? I have tried all the resets and forget device options... connects easily - but disconnects every 30 seconds or so. I use the iPhone music player and it disconnects (when running Mapmy run). I tried Pandora and had the same results. Today at the end of my run I switched to Google play and it seemed to hold the connection for the last 5 minutes of my run. Will try again on my next run (for longer time period) and see if Google Play can hold a connection when Map My Run is also going. But does not make sense to me why that MAY work and the others don't. if the issue is the combination of the BT and Map my Run.

Jul 18, 2015 11:44 AM in response to BrianHargby simon1973,The pairing wasn´t a problem as long as the headset (a deleycon soundsters sport/ 50€ on Amazon) was paired with the Watch while the iphone was out of reach or it´s bluetooth was turned off. Although I did have recurring problems with connectivity on that abovementioned bluetooth headset as well as on a plantronics backbeat that I had before and therefore sent it back. For me the solution was actually to change the Apple Watch (luckily I got Apple Care at the time of purchase). Since I changed the watch I can stream music from the watch to the headset or a bluetooth speaker easily. There are very few interruptions now - with the previous Apple Watch there were interruptions of milliseconds literally every second. When trying to solve this problem with Apple Support, I was asked to reset my watch to factory settings and then try again. This did not have any positive effect on the interruptions. Luckily I got a competent and cooperative Apple Support guy here in France (my holiday location). The German Apple Support lady I spoke to the day before was not as willing to collaborate and said she can´t do anything before I am back in Germany and I should check with the BT headset manufacturer... this would have meant no running on the beach with music for three weeks... but finally I got the watch changed while being on holiday abroad. It got shipped to my holiday home within 2 days by UPS, because I am more than 100km away from the next Apple Store. I will monitor the BT connection continuously. If it gets worse again, I might change the BT headset AGAIN, for a third time (annoyingly). I hope that Apple will fix those problems with one of the next firmware updates.

Jul 19, 2015 3:51 PM in response to simon1973by deggie,Fix what problem? You said you had a hardware problem and when you had your Watch replaced the problem was fixed. What are they supposed to fix in firmware?

Jul 21, 2015 7:31 AM in response to RealJCrew2by Gamerpete,I've tried pairing the watch with Philips SHB4000, Jabra Revo Wireless and a Logitech Z215 speaker. None work. (all are seen from the Bluetooth pairing screen, but none connect)
I do have a few songs on the watch
I have tried tapping Force Touch and selecting the Watch as the sound source.
