My Ipad received a warning from fixpc99.com and they want me to call and pay them to fix the Ipad. Ideas how to fix?

My IPad received a warning from fixpc99.com and it will not allow me to use Safari as a search engine. I would like to get rid of this. Any ideas? Thanks!

First, it's a scam. Do not contact them.

You probably don't need anything more than a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...

Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.

Thanks but it will not allow me to clear the history. I have gone to the Settings, General, Restrictions and have turned Safari off. I have tried holding the home and on/off button until the Apple logo appears (to reset) and it still comes back when I turn Safari back on. I did this with Safari on as well and it still did not get rid of the message. Just turned Safari back off again.
