Music not showing up on iPhone after sync

After syncing music playlists from iTunes for Mac (v. 12.1.2.27) to iPhone 6 Plus 16GB, Music does not show up in the Music App, however it shows up in "manage storage" and shows as being on my device when viewing device in iTunes. How can i fix this? Ive tried restarting my device and the music app
