Q: How to HIDE within Finder window preview/info column?

I was accessing my iMac screen via the Splashtop remote iPad app. A inadvertently used a combo of sticky keys and rendered ALL desktop finder windows with a preview icon + get/info column on any subsequent windows regardless of the many ways to view files. i.e. icon, list or multi-columns, etc. The far right column persists and won't go away. I looked through all the preferences, documentation and Apple online list of keystroke shortcuts but cannot find a way to hide this. FYI: At the time I was simply trying to remotely make a new folder within a finder window so did Shift-Command-N and then something altered the finder window aspects with maybe an additional keystroke was made due to the persistent sticky keys. I don't know and I'm stumped. Screen Shot 2015-04-27 at 4.42.02 PM.pngScreen Shot 2015-04-27 at 1.55.57 PM.png
