Salvage Data directly from water damaged iPhone 6

Header pretty much says it all. The iPhone 6 went for a swim, was fished out, shook out, then stored sealed with 2 pounds of rice and 10 silica bags. $ days go by, opened the bag, plugged it in, screen lights up with apple logo (hooray!), then eventually fades to black. Left it charging... phone started vibrating as text messages were being delivered, switched to sound on and sound confirmed messages. Then it stopped... and then it got very warm so I pulled plug. Brought it to a local iPhone guy who soaked it in some kind of alcohol, then brushed the internals and blew it dry before reassembling. No dice.

OK, so the big question is whether any software exists in the world that somehow allows you to extract the data (pix, contacts, texts, etc.) that had been accumulated since last backup on iTunes? Does Apple have some secret stuff behind the door at the genius bar? How does one determine icing parts are salvageable (screen, battery, whatever)?

Sorry, but the water must have damaged the phone beyond repair, there is no way to get the data back. There are companies that are specialized in recovering data, but that could be very expensive and nobody knows if the data on the phone is still readable.

And, since a 3rd party did open the iPhone, Apple will not service the phone anymore and even the option to get a replacement for the reduced Out-of-Warranty-Service fee is gone.
