Frequent crashes with FCPX 10.2 and Yosemite 10.10.3

Since upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.3, FCPX 10.2 crashes consistently on editing a complex video (i.e. lots of layers, filters, transitions). My current video project is stopped cold because FCPX 10.2 crashes instantly on opening the file. Simple files (i.e. single clip with fade-in / fade-out) can be edited without trouble.

Crashing happens outside of FCPX 10.2. For example, the system crashes almost every time when I sleep it and I rarely start FCPX 10.2 as it will only crash if I do.

EtreCheck follows and I'm aware of CleanMyMac2. I'm advised to do a clean install of Yosemite 10.10.3 and rebuild the system from scratch. The system was rock-solid before the update.
