Will an iPad 2 work with a remote drive connected via USB camera connection?

I want to save data to a remote drive on my iPad2. Can I do this either with the camera kit usb or wireless? If so do you have suggestions on the best way?

not by the camera connection kit. It's import only.

Here are some options.

Solutions:
1) Use the i-FlashDrive. You use an app to access what is attached to the adapter.

2) Wifi version of a memory card.
Examples:
WiFi memory cards

External iPad storage.
