I made a new Apple ID because I was not getting password reset emails, but my devices now ask for my old Apple ID, which I do not know the password of, not sure where to go from here! It is still active, so I am not able to put it as my email in my new Apple ID.

Apps and music are forever associated with the Apple ID they were purchased or downloaded with. The right solution to your problem is to recover the password of the old account. You can start with https://iforgot.apple.com. If none of the steps there work you need to call Apple and ask for the Account Security Team. There is no charge for account security issues, even if you are out of your support window.
