As reluctant as I am to disagree with Kappy, I cannot find any facility in Excel to export a table as a VCard. BUT here is how ya do what you need

CLICK/TAP to enlarge images

In Excel

  1. Your table's first row is "headings"
  2. Columns are different stuff, names, address, email, etc.
  3. Save As - Comma Separated Values (.csv) file

User uploaded file

In Address Book

  1. File > Import > Text file
  2. Choose your .csv file > OPEN
  3. The first panel knows that the first row is headings and gives you an opportunity to fine tune the categories
    User uploaded file
  4. Click the [>] button to review some or all of the new contacts
    User uploaded file
  5. click [OK] to finish > a group called "Last Import" appears
    User uploaded file

Now you can EXPORT VCards to get contacts OUT of AddressBook and into other Mail/Contact apps
