How can I change CSV-separators?

As long as you are using a comma for a decimal separator you will not be able to use it as a separator in a cvs file.

In languages where the decimal is a:

- comma the CSV delimiter is a semicolon

- period the CSV delimiter is a comma

you can also try replacing the comma with a period and the semicolon with a tab

Unlike TextEdit, invisibles can be displayed in Text Wrangler. Plus it has grep replacement.

Personally, I would convert any csv file(s) to tab delimited prior to importing to Excel.

I think the "sense behind" is to prevent a value of 123,45 from splitting into two cells.
