Problem with exporting 1080p in iMovie 10.0.5

I have the same problem as it has been displayed in this topic

Re: Can't export to 1080p video in iMovie

But now, 2 years later, in iMovie 10.0.5 I don't see anywhere the possibility to change the fps rate or the ratio.

When I open the movie properties (cmd + J) it only says that the movie is 720p HD but I cannot change it.

The clips are definitely 1080p in original and it doesn't matter which movie project I choose, I never have the possibility to share the file in 1080p.

I've also checked when I import media if there is the option to import full or large, but this isn't the case.

I thank all of you in advance.

iMovie10 only works in and exports 16:9 aspect ratio.

The resolution is set by that of the first video clip put in a project timeline. To change your project to 1080p do the following:

Create a new project

Put any known 1080p video clip in the project (it can be removed later)

Select the old project and then Edit - Select All then Edit - Copy

Select the new project and then Edit - Copy

The new project should now be 1080p. You can remove the first clip if you want.
