Everyday there is an update for iTunes

EArlier this year I converted from windows to Mac and for the past three months or so I get an iTunes update every day. Is this normal? The update is always 12.2. does Apple issue an iTunes update everyday or is there something wrong with my Mac?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
